Jane has been an independent consultant since 2008. She has her own company, Jane Kettle Consulting Ltd, and works primarily with Jay Consulting. She started her career in housing working in London before moving into higher education in Leeds. In 2004 Jane became Associate Dean and Head of School of the Built Environment at Leeds Metropolitan University developing professional and vocational programmes in the sector, working with employers and professional bodies. Jane’s extensive expertise is in quality assurance, and the development, assessment and accreditation of vocational and professional programmes to meet the needs of employers. Jane held fractional posts at the Higher Education Academy as Senior Adviser, Employability and Employee Learning, and then Discipline Lead for Built Environment. She is an Associate with the Higher Education Academy, Skills for Health, the Chartered Institute of Housing and MELA social enterprise. She is Executive Officer/Treasurer for the Council of Heads of Built Environment Education (CHOBE) and a member of the Chartered Institute of Housing’s Yorkshire and Humberside Regional Board.
In her personal life Jane's passions are for yoga, knitting, the Darling Roses branch of the WI, her cats and '70's punk and reggae.
Judy has worked freelance since 2007 and now works primarily with Jay Consulting. She enjoys working independently building on her professional careers as a teacher and health worker. She started her teaching career in universities and further education colleges delivering programmes in health and social care studies for vocational and profession qualifications after working as a registered nurse and health visitor. She held a fractional post as Senior Adviser in the Higher Education Academy supporting the widening participation, inclusion and employability-employee learning programmes. Before this she led a large FE-HE partnership widening participation project in South Yorkshire developing progression pathways to higher education from vocational, work-based and Access programme. Judy is an associate of CIH, Skills for Health and the HEA.
In her personal life Judy's passions are for politics, rock music (particularly Bruce Springsteen), her garden and the natural world and of course, at number one, her family. She's getting more adventurous with travel and has a longing to escape to the country.... or the seaside.
